I joined Jersey Personal Training in May and I feel like it was the BEST thing I ever done for myself. So far I have lost 20 pounds and 11 inches. I perceived myself as a healthy individual but on September 28th 2009 I went for a blood pressure screening and to my surprise my blood pressure was 185/110. As you can imagine I was scared because I considered myself a healthy person when in reality I was not. My Dr. immediately wanted to put me on medicine but I refused. She also recommended a change in my diet and exercise. I walked into your studio thinking exercise was a walk around the block. You quickly showed me what exercise was all about. You have been my cheerleader throughout this whole process. I learned to eat so much better as a result of your nutrition program. I used to eat salami and meats loaded with sodium and through work with you I learned how to eat healthy again. I learned about healthy foods such as almond butter and hummus and I tweaked my nutrition completely.
I also learned how to rethink a lot of things. I always gave myself an excuse for not working out. With you I have scheduled appointments that hold me accountable and committed to my fitness. My blood pressure has now leveled off all due to my exercise habits of working one on one with you. I like that the focus is on me when I workout with you. The 1:1 is key. My friends buy material things but material things fade away and if your health fades away it all means nothing. I continue to improve in all aspects of my fitness and my heart rate both at rest and during exercise is in the 95th percentile for my age! I now am setting a new goal for myself by running my first 5k race. After 41 years of my husband pushing me to run I now thank Wayne for giving me the confidence to go out and do it!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you have done for me over the past 5 months that I was training with you. I always worked out but for a long time I wasn’t seeing results and I was bored with my workouts and with working out in general. It became a struggle whether I was at home or at the gym.

Dear Wayne, After joining I have to thank you for teaching me that if I work hard in my routine and come to all of my sessions that I will see results. The routines are very different than anything I ever did at other big chain gyms. You showed me how to properly use the equipment and get the most out of my workouts and pushing me made me get the most out of my workouts. Comparing Jersey Personal Training to other gyms I quickly realized that other gyms were making promises that they couldn’t keep. My workouts with you have been fun and exciting!

Wayne if it wasn’t for your encouragement telling me always ” Yes you can do it” I doubt I would be doing as good as I am. I have researched the costs and benefits of so many places. I have tried every diet and pill I could get my hands on but your personal training studio has stayed to its promises and the cost is less than I was spending at other places. I hired other personal trainers and many never showed up on time or were too costly.

I feel like Jersey Personal Training is like my 2nd family that truly cares about me. Everything you do Wayne is with a personal touch and makes for such an upbeat persona that you are. I just wanted to write a quick note to thank Wayne for all that he has helped me accomplish. I have always hated exercising, but Wayne made my work-outs fun and exciting by always varying the moves and keeping me motivated. Hello. My name is Dave S. and I wanted to say a few positive things about the program. Having a program like Jersey Personal Training taught me a lot about maximizing my workout experience. Not having exercised since college days, I quickly learned what time and inactivity can do to someone’s overall well-being. Correcting this matter has gone very well so far, and is a work in progress. In terms of physical capability, I am leaps and bounds ahead of when I started. Some of life’s challenges like running and climbing have become reality over time. The program has also helped me combat depression symptoms and gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day. Motivational factors for me are usually few and far between, but Wayne is always ready to greet me, ask me how my commute was, and to get physical! I began training at Jersey Personal Training in April of this year. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and was treated with professionalism. I began my training with a goal to improve muscle structure and stay fit and healthy. So far I am achieving those goals and feel so good about it that I have signed on for another 36 sessions. What I like about it is that even though my training programs are well planned out, I can suggest to do something else on another area of my body that I feel needs more focus on and the trainer always comes up with something satisfying. Words alone cannot express our gratitude for what you have done for our son Nick. When he began training I was a little skeptical because you did not have a large youth clientele. Well my skepticism soon turned to belief and confidence in what you could help Nick to accomplish.
At his first assessment he had lost six pounds and showed overall improvement in his physical condition. He continued to build strength and endurance which has helped greatly with his involvement in competitive sports.
Most importantly, Nick has gained a greater sense of self esteem and confidence. He beams when people tell him how wonderful he looks, and is excited to be able to wear all fashionable clothes his friends are wearing. Nick has learned the importance of healthy eating and exercise to combat childhood obesity so he can avoid illnesses that come along with being overweight.
This by far, has been the best money we have ever spent on anything! I am happy for Nick that he has completed his sessions here (for now!). His spring sports schedule should keep him busy, but what he takes away from the program here is that hard work and determination pay off! This is a life lesson he will carry with him always. I want to first and foremost thank you so much for your services. When I first arrived in November, I was quite nervous, but I knew I needed it. At the time I was very overweight and was going through a lot, which really killed my self-esteem. However, after meeting with you for the first time, I knew that it was going to be a success for me.
Now, almost 4 months into the program, I have found inner confidence and self-esteem. Your program helped me to include exercise into an already unbalanced diet and crazy life schedule. But they put me back on track, and have me eating a much healthier diet, and enjoying going to the studio to work out every Tuesday and Thursday. The work ethic you put into helping unfortunate people like me is phenomenal, and I appreciate it. This has been a miracle for my life, and I obviously recommend it for anyone in need of improvement like me. I’m not at the end of my training yet, and I’m still overweight, but thanks to you, I know that I’m going to improve, lose weight, and look and feel great. Your exercise program gives you a little bit of a push, but it’s just what you need to get going.
Not only has your program had a positive influence on me, but coming to work out has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of caring people who also come to the personal training studio. A lot of them are there for what I’m there for, and I commend them for it. Some of the people who I meet are very nice and are looking good all a result from coming to you.

Working with Wayne over the past eight months has brought a purpose and confidence into my life regarding my personal well-being. Among my initial goals was to become a stronger grandmother able to take care of my grandchildren with greater ease. I am now able to do those things and more! Family members have truly taken notice of my increased strength! When I first started at Jersey Personal Training, I was very overweight and lacked any confidence in myself however, the only way I could lose weight and gain confidence would be to stick it out with Wayne. My first test after 8 weeks in the program was astounding and the results were magnificent and I knew I had made the right choice especially after having continued successful testing results progressively through my 9 months here.
Now I am a shadow of my former self and I am more confident and relaxed and truly happy for the first time in my life. Wayne was there with me every step of the way and continues to guide me and wish me well now that I train on my own. I encourage anyone who is on the fence to take part in this program because the results are astounding. Just look at me, when I started I was unhealthy, overweight, and suffered from low self esteem, low confidence, and was very shy around the opposite sex and now I am the fittest I have ever been in my life. I have lost a substantial amount of weight and now have a girlfriend. This isn’t some miracle overnight cure though, you have to work your butt off, put in the hours, stick to some sort of a diet, and trust Wayne. I came to Jersey Personal Training looking for some help with my health and fitness goals. As a Doctor I know the value of being healthy and fit but with 4 kids I just couldn’t find the time to workout and stay motivated. I wanted to lose weight and tone up my muscles but I didn’t know how I could do that with a busy schedule and without the crowds and tons of people watching my every move. In the summer of 2005, I was turning 40 and had not worked out consistently over the previous years. I used to play tennis once a week, jump on the elliptical 1-2 days a week. A half hour into a game of tennis I was exhausted and my game would wither away.
I needed to build endurance, and improve my cardiovascular fitness. I was not motivated 100% and I was intimidated by weight training. At this point I was fortunate to become acquainted with Wayne. My partnership with him has given me a whole new awareness about health and fitness. I now understand the basics of excellent nutrition, cardiovascular fitness, and weight training. I have mostly considered myself an average middle aged woman but over the years I have gained a few pounds that I would like to admit. I wanted to take some action and improve my physical well being and as well my appearance. I was intimidated by the “gym atmosphere” The exercise equipment and were overwhelming. I decided to hire a personal trainer to help me navigate the process.

I started working out with Wayne in the beginning of January so I’ve been working with him as my trainer for about 3-4 months and I have nothing but good things to say about him. Wayne is super friendly, personable and easy to get along with – I have no doubt that anyone who works with him would think the same. He is very professional and spends the time to identify and set personal goals with you, and then he tailors a workout program specific to your needs. He has over 20 years of experience as a trainer and it really shows. He knows tons of exercises and variations to always keep each workout interesting so you’ll never get bored – a big bonus is that he’ll also explain each exercise that you do and explain which muscle groups the exercise is targeting so you not only just do the exercise, but you also know why. The equipment and workout studio is all super clean. The workout setting is also very private (it’s 1 on 1), not like a gym where there might be other people walking around, so for those that are more self-conscious or shy, this is a great benefit. Personally, I think Wayne takes great care in choosing and selecting appropriate weights for the exercises I do (he always chooses just enough to challenge but not overwhelm), and he seems to really understand my limits and is always pushing me to be better. He’s always making sure that each exercise I do is with proper form and will immediately correct the form to make sure I don’t get injured. I work with him currently 3 times a week, and I leave each workout very exhausted but also feeling fantastic and motivated. Definitely more than satisfied plus the price is very competitive so I’m more than happy.
